Thermostat for radiators

  • January 10, 2019

Statistics show that approximately 45% of energy resources are spent on the needs of ventilation and heating of houses. That is why the problem of energy conservation is of great importance, given the constant increase in the cost of energy carriers.

An effective device that provides the ability to save energy in the apartment is considered a thermostat for heating radiators. With it, you can reduce heat cost by about 15-20%. However, for this it is necessary to choose the right device. So what should you pay attention to?

Useful tips

Given the type of heating system and the conditions of equipment installation, the thermal head and valve sets in different combinations can be used. For example, if we are talking about a single -pipe system, then it is worth giving preference to valves characterized by high throughput and minimal resistance.

Similar advice is applicable to two -pipe systems in which the circulation of the coolant is carried out naturally. If a two -pipe circuit is used, which provides for the use of a circulation pump, it is recommended to order a valve with the possibility of regulating throughput. It is worth noting that this is done quite easily, respectively, the use of a specialized tool for this is not required.

Having decided on the valve, it is necessary to proceed to the choice of a thermal gun. At the moment, it can be sold in such variations:

Anti -vandal.

With a remote temperature sensor.

With an internal thermal element.

Electronic.

With an external regulator.

An ordinary thermal regulator for heating systems is mounted so that its axis is located horizontally. Thus, the air in the room will freely wash the body of the device.

In rooms with serious requirements for the interior and the appearance of the battery, it is recommended to hide under decorative screens. They can be created from different materials (plastic, wood). The thermostat, which is under the casing, will register the temperature of the accumulating warm air and will completely block the coolant. That is why you need to choose a remote regulator that will be combined with the sensor.
