What is an external storm sewer? This is a network consisting of different elements:
Water receivers;
wells;
trays;
Pipes.
Water receivers are designed to collect rain and melt water. They are installed under the grooves, from which water descends from the roofs of houses, near paths, sites, that is, in those places where you can carry out local water collection.
But the basis of the entire system is still pipes, or rather, their schematic connection. Usually they are laid from water receivers towards the established prefabricated well, and this, as practice shows, is the lowest place on the site. Currently, various pipes are used for laying: steel, plastic, asbestos. Previously, ceramic pipes were even used. But experts today give preference to plastic analogues. They are less affected by negative factors. Therefore, choosing pipes for storm sewers, it is worth paying attention to them.
As for the wells. Currently, you can use various methods and materials for their construction. For example, the prefabricated structure of reinforced concrete rings, from bricks or blocks, ready -made option from plastic capacity.

The sewage system is calculated on the basis of two indicators: the average amount of precipitation in the region where the house is built, the size of the site and house. The last indicator plays a large role in terms of the required number of pipes and water intakes. After all, the pipes will have to be paved around the entire perimeter of the house, as well as near the paths and sites. The same applies to water collections.
Ideally, pipes with a diameter of 100-110 millimeters are selected, this will be enough to take a large amount of water.

The thing is that there is a large amount of excavation work in the construction of the storm. Firstly, the places of installation of water receivers are determined, they are marked on the ground with pegs. Then the main circuit of the drainage system is laid by the same pegs, which will pass underground. And auxiliary branches of the system from each water intake are connected to it. You will get a kind of web. Now the trenches are rummaged strictly along the designated lines and the place of installation of the well. And here it is important to withstand the slope of the storm sewer towards the well. The system is gravity, so this indicator is a fundamental.
The trenches are ready, they must be compacted, check the angle of inclination, by the way, its indicator is determined by a range of 5-10 millimeters per meter of the length of the pipe. The pipes are connected with couplings, tees and bounces. This is a fairly simple and easy process similar to the assembly of the designer. After full assembly, it is necessary to conduct a small experiment – pour a bucket of water to any point where the water intake should stand. This volume should gather in an empty bucket, which is previously installed at the end of the system. If the volume is not complete, then somewhere there was a sagging of the pipeline. It needs to be found and excluded. Ideally, if in this way, check the entire system.
