Electric heating floors are used more often, since there is no need to connect to water networks. The connection to the mains is much more reliable and safer, thanks to special systems of uniform supply of electricity to the floor and the emergency shutdown system, in case of problems in the mains. Installation of the required heating temperature is carried out by a toothbler or an electronic thermostat. The lack of electric warm floor is an increase in electricity costs.
How to install floors with heating
The warm flooring system can be installed in absolutely any room that has an even surface and is limited around the perimeter. Cables laid under the floor, when turning on, should warm up evenly. This means that it is impossible to allow their sharp bends or bends. You can not make the transition of a warm floor from one room to another through the door threshold or lower it up the stairs. This will lead to its damage.
Before installing the floor, you need to specially prepare the surface for styling. The floor covering is removed – parquet, laminate, tile, then a concrete screed or removed if it has cracks, or poured with concrete to perfect leveling. After the new screed is completely dried, a thermal insulation layer is laid, so that all heat only goes up, and does not go into the lower overlap. This is usually a polypenolate film or foil. Usually warm floor is heated no higher than 27 degrees. This is enough for a comfortable residence. But, if you want to install a warm floor under a natural wooden parquet, then this value will be significantly lower. Wood – living material and it cannot be overheated to avoid damage. An additional insulating film is needed directly under the parquet. The thickness of the parquet board should not exceed 13-15 mm.
