The fastening of cork plates begins with the use of special glue. It is applied with an even neat layer to the surface of the tile with a spatula or roller. You can glue the base and cork tiles only after half an hour from the date of application. Laying a cork slab will begin from the stage of marking the guide lines that draw in the direction of each other through the middle of the space. PVC tile is not inferior in its characteristics to other types of tiles. Therefore, this type of tile is now very popular.
In relation to the wall, the lines will proceed diagonally or in the direction of each other. Cross tiles are laid from the middle to the walls, first without gluing. If the tiles are accurately fitted under each other, then glue can be applied to cork tiles. After a small area is laid on the floor, it must be rolled with a heavy roller or taped with a rubber hammer. Over time, the tiles will become more, so it is better to leave small gaps 3-4 mm near the wall. At the end of the repair, the gaps are laid with skirting boards.
The cork floors of a “floating” type are laid not only on a concrete or cement base, but also on linoleum or soft carpet. It is better to make sure that the base of the floor is completely leveled.
