The porch denotes the entrance to the house and creates the first impression of its structure as a whole. As a rule, the porch or veranda (the insulated version of the porch) is attached to the finished structure. Therefore, the porch should correspond to the facade of the building.
The porch is an extension to the main structure, should have a strong base – the foundation. The durability of the porch will depend on the quality of the foundation. The most common option is a columnar foundation made of brick, blocks or asbestos -cement pipes. It is easily executed and available in its cost. Initially, you need to prepare the site for the foundation. To do this, the upper layer of the turf is removed (the possibility of sprouting weeds is excluded), a layer of roofing material, sand and gravel is laid. Next, the recesses of a certain depth at a distance of about a meter under the poles are dug up. On dense soils, you can lay out brick or block pillars. On less reliable lands, asbestos -cement pipes are used, which are poured with concrete solution. Use sheet metal. The price is not high.
The next step will be the construction of a wooden structure. First, a frame from a beam with a cross section of 95x 95mm is assembled, which is mounted with self -tapping screws or special screws. Then the lags are laid at a distance of about 50 cm from each other. The floorboard, tightly laid to each other, is fixed on the lags. After that, vertical beams are installed at a distance of about 1 m and fix them with screws, nails, dowels. They are needed to attach lateral fences, are a support for a canopy. Side walls (balusters, railing) are attached to the beams). The penultimate stage will be the construction of the roof, most often it is made gable (performed similarly to the roof of the house). The latter perform the steps of the porch about 40 cm wide.
