During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Microsoft closed most of its brick-and-mortar stores. After that, Microsoft announced that it would convert some of the remaining stores into Microsoft Experience Centers.
The Microsoft Experience Center in Sydney will close on May 10, 2025, the company said.
The company initially opened four centers: two in the United States (New York and Redmond), one in London, UK, and one in Sydney, Australia. The company recently closed the center in the UK, and now the center in Australia.
A message appeared on Microsoft’s website: “The Microsoft Experience Center in Sydney will close to the public on May 10, 2025. If you want to learn more about our products or need support, you can always reach out to us at Microsoft.com. Online customer support is available to help you with any questions you may have.”
At the remaining Microsoft Experience Centers in New York and Redmond, visitors can purchase various products such as Surface or Xbox, take part in in-person events and workshops, get product support, and more, Neowin writes.
Microsoft announced the closure of its flagship store in London in January 2025, nearly six years after it opened. The British store offered HoloLens headsets, a large Xbox gaming room, and a real McLaren Senna supercar in which you could play Forza games.
